Cheating charity
Maybe we spoke too soon. Did you know that if a person or entity pledges to donate money to a charity organization, they are required by law to follow-up on that promise? However, if no official statement has been made, then the company can get away scot-free for duping the public.
And that’s exactly what the OP’s company did. The corporate website promised to give 15% of its proceeds to The Red Cross, but they never did. There’s a lot of legal mumbo-jumbo that goes into legalizing a pledge, but we hope this company gets caught for making false promises.
