No such thing as 100% grass-fed beef
The phrase “grass-fed beef” doesn’t actually mean anything. Sure, there are 100% grass-fed beef labels, but they don’t reflect the truth. You see, cows prefer the low-grade corn-based feed to natural grass and whatnot. Whether it’s the flavor or texture, we don’t know, but they’re attracted to the stuff like flies to you-know-what.
So, when cattle have the opportunity to eat corn feed, they’ll devour in abundance. Not that they won’t eat grass, but cattle farmers don’t rely on grass the entire time. So, next time you purchase grass-fed beef, just remember that you’re not getting 100% of what you’re paying for.
