Not-so-live radio banter
You’ve probably turned on the radio at one point in your life. There’s usually a group of radio DJs shooting the breeze, talking about whatever issue is hot on the news, and the sort. Well, it turns out that some DJs prerecord their banter. That’s right, the conversation you’re listening and laughing to was made several days before it plays on the radio.
Meanwhile, there’s a lonely employee, probably an intern, who sits behind the mixer board and presses buttons to play certain audio files at the appropriate times. And those “live” requests that come in are prerecorded, too. Not even XM listeners are safe from this trickery.
