Making Jokes
We’ve seen quite a few examples so far of people saying ridiculous things in the courtroom, whether it’s intentional or not. However, don’t think that a court can’t be a place for people to crack jokes, as this State judge did. At least they were honest about what was happening!
I can only imagine the reaction they got from the other courtroom staff. If it were me, I wouldn’t know whether to laugh or to keep silent after a joke like this one. One surprising fact is that around 80% of people who got divorced later remarry. 6% of them remarry the same spouse!
