A stop sign is probably one of the easiest road signs to follow. After all, the instructions are written on it, and anybody with even the simplest understanding of English knows what to do! But, in the United States, around 70% of car crashes are caused by people not obeying stop signs.
Perhaps many of these are due to people coming from other countries, as stop signs are not universal in the way they appear. Although all stop signs are red, the ones from Nepal have no text or symbol, whereas Ethiopia, Israel, and Pakistan just have a hand gesture for their signs
