Hear, Hear: Comical, Questionable and Ludicrous Things People Actually Witnessed in a Courtroom

January 19, 2023 by Brandy E.

Beyond the Grave

There’s not really any way to explain this question, as I’m totally baffled by what the lawyer was thinking. Perhaps he thought the witness was taking the stand from beyond the grave! It wouldn’t be completely out of the norm, as around 45% of Americans believe that ghosts exist, according to YouGov polls.

Additionally, 43% of Americans believe that ghosts can remain on Earth to haunt places or people. 36% of Americans believe they have felt a ghost’s presence personally. Bizarrely enough, it’s mostly women who believe in ghosts at 51%, compared to 35% of men. I wonder how many attorneys believe in spirits!
