As a member of the original SNL cast in 1975, Jane Curtin’s particular delivery earned her a lot of recognition. She easily translated that talent to sitcom success in shows like Kate & Allie in 1984 and 3rd Rock from the Sun in 1996. Remarkably enough, Curtin was often the responsible one in the cast, refusing to take part in the wild SNL after-parties.
