Classic Hollywood was full of bold ideas, huge sets and productions that often spun out of control. Some films became classics, others became cautionary tales. From dangerous stunts to chaotic directors and miserable working conditions, these movies show how creating movie magic can sometimes lead to real trouble behind the scenes.

The shoot became infamous for delays, tension and reports of unsafe animal handling. The final cut was reworked heavily after filming, adding even more chaos to the ordeal.
