Bunuelos – another great treat, whether as fried dough or flour tortillas, dusted lightly with sugar – are a holiday favorite in the Southwest. They have become a celebration of the rich cultural heritage of the region, with every Latino house having its version of the treat.
Dipped in any sauce or honey-thinned, bunuelo is a wonderful pastry fruit of festivity.
