#19: Be Like Mike (Gatorade, 1991)
In the ‘90s, Michael Jordan was a basketball superstar, and I don’t think anyone has come close. This commercial from Gatorade expressed the desire to be like Mike. Kids in the ‘90s wanted to be him. Even if they didn’t care about basketball, they may have wanted to be the Michael Jordan of their own interests. What the commercial was really saying, however, is if you drank your Gatorade, you’d be like Mike. I’m already saying my prayers and eating my vitamins to be like the Hulkster!
