While it originally aired from 1981 to 1989, pretty much everyone, from any generation, is familiar with The Smurfs. The little blue creatures with the descriptive names have become so iconic over the years, they’re truly unforgettable. They originated in Europe but were brought to U.S. television in the early 80s and took over pop culture consciousness.
