Whether they came out in the 50s or the 90s, there is something so special about classic cartoons. Some lasted many years, while others were a one-season wonder. Yet, our childhoods wouldn’t have been the same without them. Even for Millennials and Gen X, many of these cartoons were pivotal in our younger years thanks to our parents or TV channels like Boomerang, which showed these nostalgic toons and helped create cherished memories.
#1: The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle and Friends (1959-1964)
I have never in my life heard anyone say the full name of this television series. Even so, Rocky and Bullwinkle was a household favorite. We loved to watch as Rocky and Bullwinkle thwarted Boris and Natasha time after time. It starred iconic voices like June Foray, Bill Scott, and Paul Frees (who Disney Parks fans will undoubtedly recognize.) It’s clear that these goofy toons and friends are still popular to this day since they’re so often referenced in other media. We even got a standalone Mr. Peabody & Sherman movie in 2014.
