It’s back to school after winter break, and young people in high school and college have a new semester of classes. But chances are, they aren’t taking these 20 old-school classes. Whether it’s because the subjects are outdated, for budget reasons, or for some other reason, these courses are rarely offered anymore. We’re here today to examine 20 classes from the past and decide whether they should still be offered in schools.
#1: Autoshop
While driving classes are still common, auto shopping is a rarity these days. Schools claim there is a lack of budget and time to make these classes effective. Not only that, but almost everyone has a phone that they can use to call roadside assistance if anything goes wrong. Another reason may be that the youth are living in more apartments, which often lack garages.

It’s a shame. Sure, you have roadside assistance, but it’s cheaper and more rewarding to do it on your own. And if no one is going to teach how to diagnose and repair car problems, then who will do it once the current generation retires?
