These 26 U.S. Chain Stores Aren’t Going Anywhere

Once a staple food chain on the East Coast, Friendly’s (known for its ice cream and burgers) was almost wiped out after filing bankruptcy in 2011 and again in 2020. At its best, Friendly’s had 850 locations but is now down to about 100 in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Connecticut. They are trying to revive themselves by revitalizing existing locations to bring customers back.
