Let’s face it, it cannot be easy to be the voice of a car and to make such an inanimate object come alive with so much energy and character. Somehow, Owen Wilson managed to do just that with role in Cars as Lightning McQueen. The first movie in the Cars series premiered in 2006 and grossed $462 million. Paul Newman, Larry the Cable Guy and Bonnie Hunt joined Wilson and voiced other animated characters in the film. Owen Wilson returned for Cars 2 and Cars 3, raking in money along the way.

The famous Wilsons

50-year-old Owen Wilson is a native of Dallas, Texas broke into film in the late 1990s.  In addition to acting, Wilson is a producer, screenwriter and comedian, with a well-known association with the famous Wes Anderson. The two shared writing credits for the film Bottle Rocket in 1996 and the hilarious The Royal Tenenbaums in 2001, which earned Wilson an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay. Fame must run in his veins because brothers Andrew and Luke Wilson have also experienced great success in acting.
