Social media can be a mixed bag. Sure, it’s great for communicating with people and sharing your thoughts and ideas. On the other hand, when you have so many people following you, it can also be a source of great humiliation. Celebrities have it worse than we average folks do. Their posts have a much wider audience than the rest of us – for better and for worse – making their typos and inappropriate ramblings harder to forget. Unfortunately, their words can’t be taken back, either. Once you posted something embarrassing, all it takes is one screenshot to make sure it stays on the internet realm forever. Here is a slew of some of the most cringe-worthy celebrity Twitter missteps.

Perhaps one of the best uses for social media is to share some of your achievements and milestones. For example, getting into an illustrious college program is undoubtedly an achievement that deserves many congratulations. Only, it turns out that his announcement was utterly false. Of course, he probably never expected USC Law School to call him out on his fib publicly, which makes the discovery of his lie even more hilarious. What was he thinking tagging the school in his post? Maybe he hoped they would be flattered that a Kardashian was showing interest and accept him sight-unseen?
