22. Bill Gates
Bill Gates is the brains behind Microsoft, so you know that when it comes to parenting, he might have some good ideas as well. As you can expect from a computer scientist, logic is a key word in Gates’ parenting style. He wants his children to be able to solve problems on their own, rather than rely on their parents, and so he allows them this freedom and room to learn, even if at times it might get frustrating for them.
Although Gates has been around technology all his life, and that’s how he made his fortune, his three children only received a cellphone at the age of thirteen (these days, it’s not uncommon to see kids in preschool with smartphones). He is a firm believe in regulating their phone time, like many other parents on the list, and encourages them to read books rather than text messages.
