Shaggy
Ask any ‘90s kid who Shaggy is and they’ll tell you he’s the singer of Bombastic, Angel, and It Wasn’t Me. His musical talent became apparent at an early age, and people knew it would only be a matter of time before he made it big. Sadly, he didn’t have the means to fund his passion, so he joined the USMC in 1989.

Shaggy enlisted just in time for the Gulf War, so he was deployed to Kuwait. Despite his young age, he was a hard drinker, but his time in training camp taught him to overcome his demons. He cleaned up his act, finished his tour in Kuwait, then returned home to record and release his debut album in 1992.
