Johnny Carson
The great conflicts of the past instilled a strong sense of pride and courage, as well as a sense of being wronged and a desire to rectify the wrong. Johnny Carson, the former presenter of The Tonight Show, was one such person who felt the need to restore justice and world order.
He enlisted in the US Navy as a seaman and was assigned to the V-5 program. Johnny had hoped to train as a Navy pilot, but he was instead assigned to Columbia University’s midshipman program. Following that, he joined the crew of the USS Pennsylvania. To keep spirits up, he performed stunts for his classmates since he always had a joke or two in his back pocket.
