50+ of Your Favorite Celebrities Who Were Once in the Army

May 4, 2015 by Veronica Phillips

Harvey Korman

Harvey Korman, an American comic actor, spent several decades in the entertainment industry. He enlisted as a US Navy Reserve Seaman near the close of World War II, hoping to still be able to make a significant contribution to the war effort.

He was only able to serve for less than a year until 1946, which was unfortunate (for him). After his dream of seeing action was shattered, he decided to study acting in Chicago, where he began to shape his career in entertainment. Harvey was inducted into the Television HOF in 2002 after taking home numerous honors.
