#2: “I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing” – Coca-Cola

Based on the tune by Roger Cook and Roger Greenaway called “True Love and Apple Pie,” they worked together with Coca-Cola to create this 1971 hit known as “I’d Like to Teach the World To Sing,” AKA “I’d Like To Buy, the World a Coke.” This ultra-magnanimous song went from being a jingle to a full-length single by The Hillside Singers, which didn’t incorporate the Coca-Cola line. Still, you have to admit that this song playing the part of a jingle is impressive.
