Chip Butty
Fish and chips are a classic British combination that we can totally get on board with. There’s just something about deep-fried crumbling fish paired with chips that instantly sends us to carb heaven. The Brits seem to have such a love affair with their chips, though, that they’ve found other ways to enjoy it too. Enter the humble chip butty.
It’s basically a sandwich filled with chips and can include condiments like ketchup, brown sauce, or even mayonnaise. By the way, in this case, chips refer to what the Americans call “fries” except they’re more chunky, covered in salt and malt vinegar, and served piping hot straight from the fryer.
