Eton Mess
Few desserts say summer like the classic English dessert, Eton Mess. It consists of cream, strawberries, and pieces of meringue all combined together to make one big – as the name suggests- mess. While it looks messy, it’s actually lip-smacking good!
It’s believed to have originated at Eton College where they served it at their annual cricket match against Harrow School. While strawberries are the traditional choice, bananas are also commonly used but you can pick any summer fruit you like. These days, it’s often served at dinner tables and we can see why. It’s fruity, sweet, crunchy, super easy to make, and will keep you coming back for more.
