Back in the late-90s to mid-2000s, high school kids didn’t have cell phones. We had to reach each other through other means, like calling their phones and hoping their parents wouldn’t answer. We could also email each other, but MSN messenger was preferable. Anyway, this is how this guy’s breakup story went down.
He saw his GF holding hands with someone in school, so he hopped on MSN to ask her what was up. Why he didn’t say anything right then and there, we don’t know. Moving on, she answers his instant message and tells him to check his email. We wonder whether she bcc’d the email to her friends. That was pretty much how you could screenshot text exchanges back then.
