LA Gear was founded in 1983 and was a big name in ‘80s fashion. So many cool kids would show up to school in with their Uggs or sneakers, and it seemed like this would be fashion until the end of time. Then, the ’90s happened, and LA Gear did not adapt to the changing trends. They filed for bankruptcy in 1998. And while they’re still around, no one in fashion is saying their name anymore.
