Discovery Zone entertained many late ’80s and ’90s kids with its vast indoor jungle gyms, arcade, and diner. At the time, it seemed so much cooler than Chuck E. Cheese. I mean, it had a robot for its mascot! That mouse’s days were numbered.

But Discovery Zone could not keep up its equipment, and everyone knew those ball pits were a health disaster waiting to happen. Eventually, it closed its doors in 1999. But a new business using the name has locations in Ohio and Kentucky if you want to relive your childhood.
