Rubik’s Cube
The original Rubik’s Cube was invented in 1974 by an Hungarian architect and sculptor called Erno Rubik. Today, ever since smartphones took over our lives, they have replaced thousands of physical gadgets, products and games, one of them is the colorful Rubik’s Cube. Kids and teens nowadays don’t need to use a physical cube in order to solve this complex problem, and we see that translated into sales data.
While the younger generation still enjoys hard puzzles and brainteasers, the use of physical toys has dramatically gone down, and so are the sales of Rubik’s cubes. The one upside to that? You can’t cheat by peeling off the color stickers and placing them where you need them anymore. What? Don’t act like you haven’t done that before…
