SEARS
Since it was founded in 1893, SEARS has been one of the leading department stores in the US. Once a titan of industry, SEARS has dropped down in the corporate ladder over the last few years.
Sadly, the sales at SEARS have gotten so low, that hedge fund manager Edward Lampert has spent over $5.3 billion to try and save the company from liquidation. As of last year, those efforts did not provide the help the company so desperately needed, and the outlook doesn’t look so good going forward in 2020. SEARS is a true american institution that provided work for thousands of families, and we truly hope we could see them getting over this crisis soon.
