#32: Van McCoy & The Soul City Symphony – “The Hustle” (1975)

“The Hustle” was released in 1975, in the peak of disco fever, and became a national disco anthem. In the summer of 1975, it reached on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 list and won a Grammy award that same year. American songwriter Van McCoy wrote and performed this song, which was inspired by a popular disco move known as “the Hustle” he witnessed in an NTC nightclub.
