#20: Sinbad
Sinbad joined the crew of the United States Coast Guard Cutter Campbell in 1937, quickly earning his stripes as an official member of the service. With his own identification papers and paw-print signature, he served eleven years at sea, taking part in real combat missions against German submarines in the Atlantic during World War II. Holding the title of Chief Petty Officer and sporting a custom uniform, Sinbad retired in 1948 after collecting a respectable set of service ribbons.
