#5: Lemonheads

Lemonhead is a hard, lemon-flavored candy that is the perfect blend of sweet and sour. Did you know it gets its name from its creator, Salvatore Ferrara? He watched his grandson be born and thought the baby had a lemon-shaped head. I wonder how that kid felt as he grew up.

Lemonheads date back to the 1960s and are still around, though they’ve changed throughout the years. For instance 2014, they had a new mascot: a realistic lemon-headed man. Don’t look it up unless you want nightmares.
