#19: Red Hot Chili Peppers
The Red Hot Chili Peppers became famous for their energetic performances and unique mix of rock and funk. Hillel Slovak, their original guitarist, played a huge role in shaping that particular sound. Sadly, his death in 1988 shocked the band and all of their fans. They welcomed new guitarists, but Slovak’s absence was felt in their original sound.
