#14: DuJour – Josie and the Pussycats (2001)

Seth Green, Donald Faison, Breckin Meyer, and Alexander Martin lead DuJour in Josie and the Pussycats, a perfectly manufactured boy band already sitting at the top of the charts. The group leans into glossy pop with tracks like “Backdoor Lover”, all wrapped in slick choreography and a very knowing wink. The film takes sharp aim at the late 1990s music machine, where image often mattered more than talent. DuJour never stepped outside the movie, but the songs were fully produced and made their way onto the official soundtrack.
