Jesse and Celine from Before Midnight
The Before trilogy is a beautiful take on love and romantic relationships. While the first movie made us all want to set off on a European adventure, things started to get a little more complicated from the second movie. The third installment in the series, Before Midnight takes an honest and brutal look at Jesse and Celine’s relationship years after they’ve been married and we couldn’t help but dislike the people they had become.
Of course, marriage is hard but all their bickering throughout the movie just made us want to knock their heads together and remind them of what it had taken for them to end up together. We mean, if Jesse and Celine can’t make it, what chance do the rest of us mortals have?
