As much as we hate to admit it, Barney Stinson did make us laugh back in the day. He was charming and funny but over time, we’ve realized that he is as misogynistic as they come. He literally tricks women into sleeping with him and has also written a playbook about his strategies. Gross.
Even though he’s painted as the ultimate ladies’ man, he is in fact immature and an overgrown child. He is commitment-phobic and has a streak of jealousy when it comes to relationships. He can’t even stand Robin’s success after they get married. It just seems like, after all those years, he doesn’t really go through any personal growth and that’s a waste.
