By 1915, Groucho developed the quick, witty speaking style that would become his signature. He blended rapid-fire wordplay, sarcasm, and timing honed through years in vaudeville. Performing both on stage and in small theaters, he began to test how audiences reacted to his sharp humor. This persona was still in development but recognizable, providing a blueprint for the dialogue-heavy comedy that would define Marx Brothers films in the 1920s and 1930s.
