John F. Kennedy
“Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country”. Who doesn’t remember those classic words from JFK our 35th President and WW II hero? Circa, August 2, 1943, the Japanese destroyer Amangiri barrels through thick fog and rams John F. Kennedy’s U-Boat, PT 109. Shipwreck and survival in the South Pacific? Now that’s what movies are made of.
Warner Brothers did make a movie out of it in 1963 starring Cliff Robertson as JFK. Another American hero is born.
