Nikola Tesla in His Laboratory
Born in 1856, Nikola Tesla was a Serbian American inventor, electrical engineer, mechanical engineer, physicist, and futurist, best known for his contributions to the design of the modern alternating current (AC) electricity supply system. His name has become synonymous with all things electrical and he was a pioneer in his field.
Here he is in his laboratory, sitting behind his ‘magnifying transmitter’. Tesla conducted pioneering work in electric light, electric motors, radio, x-ray, remote control, radar, wireless communications, and robotics. His life’s story is an incredible one, filled with great struggles and pains that were second only to this genius mind.
