#2: Chi-Chi’s
Chi-Chi’s was a Mexcian fast-food chain founded in 1976, and for a while, it was the place to go to for casual Mexican dining. In the ’90s, they started to see a decline, and then, in 2003, shut down for good. The restaurant was responsible for the largest hepatitis A outbreak in America. Four people died, and over 600 people got sick.

Lawsuits followed, and the chain closed all its US doors in 2004. A single restaurant is said to exist in Vienna, but Google says that one is permanently closed, too. If, by some miracle, it’s still open and you’re in Austria, give it a try. Just avoid the green onions.
