#11: Ground Round
Ground Round is a spin-off of Howard Johnson’s, founded in 1969. It served many foods, maybe too many. Not everyone can be Cheesecake Factory! These restaurants saw a steep decline in the ’80s and ’90s and filed for bankruptcy protection in 2004. There are four locations left, so you can still visit them.

Fun fact: they once had a deal where kids under 12 could weigh themselves, and their meal would cost a penny per their weight. How embarrassing it must have been if you were a fat kid!
