Stained Glass
‘Stained Glass’ is another iconic installation by the British artist Banksy. The creation was part of the 2011 ‘Art in the Streets’ at MOCA, Los Angeles. The intention here was to expose the art on a big scale, not just as a street installation in one location. Banksy created a gothic window of a church with colorful illuminated glass. The colorful glass was non-classical work; it was willed with colorful tags and images.
Los Angeles state school students have created the tags and images on the windows. A praying artist’s figure was placed at the bottom as a front layer of the installation. Painted with black and white shades, the praying student represents the difference between the worlds of conservatory and creation. This work of art also represents cultural and social communication and how art unites all.
