In Prague, Masopust, or Slavic Carnival, is a celebration that takes place every year. This tradition dates back to the thirteenth century. People wear masks and dress in costumes to celebrate the start of spring as well as say goodbye to winter. Masopust is considered to be the last chance to feast before Lent. The biggest events take place on the last three days of the season.
The Letna Carnival offers fun and entertainment for the whole family. There is music, performances, carnival games, and treats of all kinds. There are different events set up all around town to enjoy. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes and masks while in attendance. There is also a parade held for everyone to enjoy,
