Merida Carnival, Mexico
The carnival held in Merida is one of the oldest of all the celebrations in Mexico. This event is filled with spectacular parades, huge parties, tons of music, feasting, drinking and plenty of dancing. There are a number of events that everyone will enjoy. The Merida Carnival is considered to be a very family friendly carnival.
Families can enjoy the themed parades, which includes a king and queen of the festivities. There is also salsa, mambo, and cumbia music playing all over the city. Street parties pop up all over for people to enjoy. Visitors and locals fill the streets to eat, drink, and dance. The carnival also features a famous Battle of the Flowers.
