Campeche Carnival, Mexico
Campeche is one of the port cities is Mexico. It is also one of Mexico’s best-preserved colonial cities. There was a huge wall built late in the seventh century to prevent attacks by pirates. Campeche hosts one of Mexico’s oldest carnival celebrations.
The Campeche Carnival begins with the burning of the bad mood which just like Veracruz Carnival is a giant puppet that represents negative emotions and is all about purifying the town. Following this a parade filled with floats, costumes and traditional dances. Visitors flock to Campeche to be a part of the fun filled events throughout the city.
