#31: “Louie Louie”
When a piece of art has been around for a while, does that make it okay for someone else to act like they created it and take credit for it? Sure, artists take inspiration from fellow artists all the time, but acting like it is their artwork instead of someone else’s is a bit weird. Just because time has passed doesn’t mean people have forgotten.

African American artist Richard Berry first recorded and released the somewhat inappropriate for the time song “Louie Louie” in 1955. But in 1963, The Kingsmen rerecorded and released the same song, and it became their one and only hit. Considering the rather conspicuous song lyrics, this song caught the attention of many people at the time.
