Commuters using the London Underground in the spring of 2015 were greeted by a slim model in a yellow bikini and a question that quickly escaped the stations: “Are you beach body ready?” Protein World was selling weight-loss and nutrition products, so fitness was central to the campaign. The objection came from what many people felt the wording implied. A beach, after all, does not normally require a particular body type for entry.
