#4: William Powell & Myrna Loy
William Powell and Myrna Loy first worked together in Manhattan Melodrama in 1934, but their breakout as a pair came that same year with The Thin Man. Audiences responded to their easy back-and-forth, so MGM kept them together for five more entries in the series. Their final appearance as Nick and Nora Charles came with Song of the Thin Man in 1947. They completed 14 films together overall. Powell earned three Oscar nominations, while Loy received an honorary Academy Award in 1991 for her long career.
