We always thought that Disney characters are completely made up and have nothing to do with how real-life people look, mostly because more often than not, they look too exaggerated in one way or another. However, turns out that some beloved Disney characters surprisingly resemble real-life people (or rather these people surprisingly resemble the Disney characters), and these 12 photos will make you wonder how much of a coincidence this could be.
Frozen
Real life Elsa must be flattered to look this similar to a Disney princess, after all, we know these princesses never look like real life women, with their big eyes and perfect figure. However, the resemblance of this girl to princess Elsa is uncanny, and though the hair color needs to be lighter, their face is surprisingly similar.
Zootropolis
This girl embraced her resemblance to the sloth from Zootropolis (who happens to be named Flash). Looking like a Disney princess is one thing, but looking like a Disney sloth is another, though it this girl doesn’t seem to be bothered by the alarming similarity – on the contrary. The resemblance between them is so great, it makes you wonder whether or not this character was based on someone in real life. The only thing left for us to wonder is whether she resembles the slow-moving sloth in her behavior as well, or just her looks.
Up
This can’t be a coincidence! Is is possible that the blockbuster Up was based on a true story? We wonder whether he’s also in the boy scouts, like little Russel from Up, or whether he just embraced this uncanny resemblance and dressed up to fit the part. Either way, he is just as sweet as the boy in the movie.
Beauty and the Beast
This is what it looks like when European politician resemble Disney princes. The guy in the picture is Jean Sarkozy, the son of former president of France, Nikolas Sarkozy. He followed his father’s footsteps and entered the world of politics, and incidentally, he happens to look eerily similar to the prince from The Beauty and the Beast.
Ratatouille
It’s hard to miss the resemblance between the chef in Ratatouille and this funny guy, and obviously it didn’t pass him either. Luckily for him, he looks like the chef in the animated film, which has quite a normal look, rather than his mouse sous-chef.
Frozen
This guy can team up with the girl who looks like Elsa, and together they can work as prince Kristoff and princess Elsa cos-players and perform at children’s birthday parties, or otherwise they can dress up the part and visit children at the hospitals – either way, their resemblance to the Frozen characters is so great, no one’s going to tell the difference.
Epic
By “epic” we’re referring to the animated film Epic and also to the epic resemblance between the animated character and this girl! Judging by the look on her face, seems like she just acknowledged this eerie resemblance. The face and the hair is one thing, but wearing the same hoodie, we can’t tell the two apart.
Pocahontas
With all the Disney live-action mania during the past year, it won’t come as a surprise if Disney decides to make a live-action version of the beloved Pocahontas. If they do, we suggest Australian actor Chris Hemsworth as the role of John Smith – don’t you think he’s right for the part?
Despicable Me
The character of Gru, the villain from Despicable Me (mostly known for the film which encountered us to the Minions), is perhaps the most underrated Disney character. Most people simply don’t understand him, and don’t recognize his complex, yet kind heart. Some people might think that looking like Gru the villain isn’t a compliment, but we beg to differ.
Toy Story
Sheriff Woody from Toy Story comes to life in the Disney classic film, and now he comes to life once again, only this time, it’s the real deal. I wonder how many people are out there who look just like Disney characters.
Up
This is too much – first the kid and now the amiable grandpa? We’re truly starting to suspect that Up was based on a true story, and if so, it’s an incredibly sad one. Either way, the resemblance here is once again remarkable. The only last missing piece of the puzzle is his wife.
Toy Story
Actor Will Poulter is fully aware of his uncanny resemblance to the character of Sid, the troubled kid in Toy story who bullies his toys and his friends. That’s why in Halloween 2017 he finally decided to embrace this resemblance and put it to good use, when he dressed up like the character and participated in an anti-bullying campaign.
