New York
This photo, taken by Ric Manning in 1969, portrays a rather different fashion, one where women and men dress the same, both in jeans and casual wear. This was part of the liberation movement of America’s counter-culture in the 60s.
The photo is called “Woodstock kids” as it was taken just outside the famous Woodstock festival in New York. As the picture shows, the counter-culture of the 60s was also exhibited through fashion statements.
