One of the things the Big Apple is most known for is Wall Street, the busy street depicted in several movies and other cultural references. This photo captures the famous street in 1911. We must say, it looked rather impressive even back then.
The origin of its name might be disappointing to learn, because while the street is famous for housing the New York stock exchange, it was literally named after a wall.
